.....why NO singles were released to the American market before "Howzat!" in mid-76, truly BAFFLES me; BOTH "Slipstream" and "Silvery Moon", even "Cassandra" could made at least a DENT airplay-wise and, "Summer Love", "Only One You" are absolute NO-BRAINERS (former, LIKELY Top 10 Stateside HAD they - DESPITE, or maybe BECAUSE of its Floydian refrain) while WHY Daryl had to wait until 1988 to have his FIRST solo hit here, EQUALLY so.....

Thank you for posting this ! GOLD by the BEST Band and BEST of the BEST Daryl Braithwaite. Writing this in 2023 and saw him recently live - he is getting better with every concert and I was there at one of the first ones! Life long devotion to one of the Greatest of GOD's Gifts to Australians and Australia. GOD Bless Friends !

Vaguely remember this as a kid back then, now its come flooding back..oh yes, its truly a brilliant piece. As always Daryl gave 110% with his improv riffing & gtr is a standout too. Thanks for posting & for the opportunity to hear it again.

This is not one of The Sherbs better efforts, but they were a very underrated band. They had two big hits in America, "We Ride Tonight," and "No Turning Back." Their best album was "Defying Gravity" from 1982. Every song was a winner! Daryl is one of the greatest lead singers of all time.

Why didn't they do a documentary after the Sherbets changed their name to The Sherbs! That's when they made their best music!

The Sherbets became The Sherbs later on and they had two big hits in the U.S. -- "No Turning Back" and "We Ride Tonight." Their best songs were on their 1982 album "Defying Gravity" which included "We Ride Tonight." My father, who was a caterer, brought it home from work in 1982 and I still love it today! They had another great song "I'm Ok" which was driven by a great base line. Daryl is one of the greatest lead singers ever! The Sherbs were very under rated.

I love the black and white clips. I love the way that one minute Sherbet were in Black and White and looking so young and fresh jump a couple of years its all turned to colour and kinda sold out. What totally fierce musicians. Loved them when I was 5 and still love them now.

Wow! Great jam! I love the early Sherbet; their musicality was better than any other Australian group until Little River Band. Slipstream is a GREAT album and you can't even buy it on CD! All you hear from commercial sources is Howzat and Summer Love which were crap IMO. It's a shame they pursued the teenybopper market instead of just making great music like this. Sic transit gloria mundi...

Still believe Life is a masterpiece album. Great 70s band.
